Safety Awareness Day
Kiwanis Club of Lincoln Foothills volunteers are joined by the Lincoln Police Department, Lincoln Fire Department, California Highway Patrol, California Operation Lifesaver / Union Pacific Railroad, American Red Cross, National Child Safety Council, conduct annual “Safety Awareness Day” at Western Placer Unified School District Elementary Schools.
With the support of Principals, Teachers, and Staff, the Students of our community enjoyed entertaining, interactive and educational lessons for their personal, home and school safety.
To reinforce the important lessons of “Safety Awareness Day” a contest was created to get the kids to think about all they had learned. Each classroom will design posters about the day. The posters will be judged for creativity and the number of safety tips mentioned. The winning poster class will be treated to an ice cream party courtesy of our Club!
