The Kiwanis Club of Lincoln Foothills was founded on the evening of February 21, 2015.  A group of 12 current and former Kiwanis Members, and their spouses (See Founding Members Page) were at an overnight get together at a Bed and Breakfast in Foresthill, California, sitting around the fireplace discussing the need to do more for the Lincoln Community.

They decided that Lincoln deserved more and they were going to do something about it.  Beth Roberts contacted Lt. Governor of Cal-Nev-Ha Division 44, Kathleen Ross, and discussed the possibility of starting a second club in Lincoln, California.

The club would differentiate itself from the other club by meeting Twice a Month, at Noon, and focusing on specific areas of support for the Lincoln Community through Fundraising.

Kathleen thought it was an excellent idea and contacted the Formula Team responsible for new clubs, and the Kiwanis Club of Lincoln Foothills was officially chartered on March 20, 2015 (28 Days from Conception to Birth).

The Kiwanis Club of Lincoln Foothills is classified and recognized by the IRS as a Non-Profit Public Benefit Corporation (Service Organization) and qualifies as Tax Exempt under Section 501(c)(4) of the Internal Revenue Code.  The Club Federal Identification Number is 47-4070932.
